CUZ COLOR IS OVERRATED!!
CUZ COLOR IS OVERRATED!!

It has been a while since I’ve posted anything on here. But fear not! There will be more coming in the next month or so, I have been trying out a few things with my Holga 35mm lately and I should be posting up some shots from that in the next few weeks. 9 roles of film will take me a bit to go through but I’m fairly certain that what comes out of it will be interesting. Also I will be having another photoshoot coming up! I will be working with a friend of mine and a lovely singer, I’m very excited about this shoot.
So while we all wait for more shots of awesomeness, enjoy the picture on top! After all it was a really long lazy and snowy sunday today…
It’s been a bit since I’ve posted, partly due to being hardcore lazy….so on to the update!
I recently bought myself a Holga 35mm Camera, so that I could start to dabble in some Lomography. I happened on it completely by accident while browsing the Urban Outfitters site and decided to try it out. It’s a nifty little piece of plastic, however, once again I’ve confirmed what I already know; and that is just how bad I am with analogue cameras. But I’m more than determined to change that!
I ended up taking it for a test run one day when I was out with a good friend of mine, and I was particularly pleased with the photos that actually did turn out
!
Tell me what you think of them…only 2 of them this time, sorry
Winter’s chill is quickly finding its grip on the unsuspecting bones of humanity, I have managed to get a few shots off before the snow began to fall here in Montreal. As time has passed I’ve noticed that I have a much stronger preference for Black and White photos as a pose to color (but don’t worry there are some color pictures in here also). Black and White has more of an impact because I feel that it forces the mind to color the moment.
What do you get out of these images?
As promised here are some of the pictures that we I had taken with Sara, shes a friend of a friend of mine. I really enjoyed working with her on this because she had a certain determination that pushed me to do my best with her on this one. There were a few shots that we had used glow sticks on, but I honestly had no earthly idea how to work with long exposures….so we did our best. Hope you all enjoy these shots, let me know what you think!
As promised here are more shots from my photo shoot with bruno. I really like the way these turned out, let me know what you think!
Its been a bit since I’ve posted anything here. I’ve been meaning too but my procrastination always seems to get the better of me, but not this time! So here’s a small update on what I’ve been working on lately.
The university portfolio is definitely not the easiest thing to do, but I have to admit that it’s coming along quite smoothly. Just a few more pictures to go and I can start printing!! I also got the chance to do another photo shoot earlier this week with a very nice young lady who’s name I will keep hidden in the curtains of darkness. I will be posting some photos from that shoot for all to see, as well as some additional ones from my session with Bruno.
Just to keep with the theme of this post, dealing with “New Things”….a good deal of my friends were delighted to discover that I finally caved and bought myself a MacBook Pro. Even as I’m typing out this blog I’m still wondering why I did it….maybe I’ll just install windows on it. Only time will tell but for now you’ll have to spend your time elsewhere because the next post will be in the intermediate future.
Well, I certainly did not expect to be starting a new blog, let alone having one made for me. But I’ll give thanks to Jeff for that one, I guess that I could consider it to be the kick in the ass that I needed to get busy and start focusing on what I really like. So I guess I should start off by mentioning a little bit about myself…well where to start?? I’m from Montreal, I “would” like to study photography….yep, that’s all I can think of at the moment.
SOO, hopefully I’ll manage to keep this blog alive and going with regular updates. I’ll be posting some of my photos on here for your viewing pleasure, I hope that you’ll like what you see.
And, without further adieu I will leave you with one of my more recent photos. This one happens to be one of Bruno, after he foolishly agreed to model for me! I really like this one, I can’t remember if he does but I’ll leave that up to whoever reads this thing
.
